PAIN Research supports transparency and reproducibility in scientific research. Authors are encouraged to make the data underlying the findings of their articles available whenever possible, while taking into account ethical, legal, privacy, and confidentiality considerations.
Data Availability Statement
Authors should provide a Data Availability Statement describing whether and how the data supporting the findings of the study can be accessed.
Where appropriate, data may be deposited in a recognized public repository, and the repository name, persistent identifier, DOI, or accession number should be provided.
If data are not deposited in a public repository, authors may indicate that the data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
Human Participant Data
For studies involving human participants, data sharing must be consistent with informed consent, ethics committee approval, applicable laws and regulations, and requirements for the protection of privacy and confidentiality. Personally identifiable information must not be disclosed.
Restrictions on Data Sharing
If data cannot be made publicly available because of ethical, legal, privacy, confidentiality, or other legitimate restrictions, authors should clearly state the reason in the Data Availability Statement.
